The Four Houses
Every Meliora learner belongs to a house from their first day. Each house carries its own heritage, symbol, hand signal, and commitment, and together they hold up one school. Choose a house below, or read through all four.
House Mana
House of Strength
Power: Bold, Resilient, Steadfast
House History
Mana is the house that embodies strength through wisdom. The elephant, revered across Africa and beyond, never forgets, never retreats, and leads with purpose. Members of Mana carry this same energy: they show up powerfully for their community, stand firm under pressure, and forge a path for others to follow.
Incoming Members
Incoming members carry a quiet but undeniable strength, even if they haven't fully discovered it yet. Mana recognizes that true power isn't loud; it's grounded. Students who join this house are guided to own their presence, trust their instincts, and become the kind of leader others rally behind.
"I commit to the principles of this house. I will lead with strength and wisdom, never retreat from what is right, and honor the legacy of those who came before me."
Core commitmentWhat the crest means
The Elephant
Strength, memory, and wisdom. The elephant never forgets, and neither do we.
The Knight's Helm
Courage and readiness for battle. We face every challenge head-on.
The Compass Rose
Navigation and purpose. Mana always knows its direction and leads others forward.
The Sun / Star
Light and brilliance radiating outward. Mana members are a beacon to those around them.
House Leadership
Raise your fist, then extend your arm upward and curl your hand slightly, like a raised elephant trunk. Use it to hype up your house before competitions or rally after a tough moment.

House Creador
House of Creativity
Power: Inventive, Bold, Relentless
House History
Creador is the house that draws from the Spanish-speaking creative tradition, where builders, artists, and inventors find solutions where others see dead ends. The octopus, Creador's symbol, is the most inventive creature on earth: it thinks with its entire body, adapts to any environment, and never stops experimenting. Members of Creador carry that same spirit.
Incoming Members
Incoming Creador members are thinkers who don't fit neatly into boxes, and that's exactly the point. They see problems as puzzles and blank pages as invitations. Creativity here isn't a hobby; it's a daily habit that this house will help you build and sharpen every single day.
"I commit to making things. I will think sideways, build boldly, and find solutions where others see dead ends. I will practice creativity every day as a discipline."
Core commitmentWhat the crest means
The Octopus
Eight arms, one mind. Adaptable, inventive, and thriving in any environment, just like Creador.
The Open Book
Knowledge feeds creativity. Creador members read, research, and learn constantly.
The Knight's Helm
Courage to create even when the path is uncertain. Every great maker starts somewhere.
The Quill Feathers
Writing, storytelling, and expression. Creador honors every form of creative output.
House Leadership
Spread all ten fingers wide, then wave both hands outward from your chest, like ink spreading across a page. This signal means: I am creating. Use it to celebrate a breakthrough or kick off a creative challenge.

House Phronesis
House of Practical Wisdom
Power: Patient, Precise, Purposeful
House History
Phronesis is the ancient Greek word for practical wisdom: the ability to know not just what is true, but what to do with what you know. The heron, Phronesis's symbol, waits with perfect stillness until the exact right moment, then strikes with precision. Members of Phronesis don't rush. They think, they watch, and when they act, it counts.
Incoming Members
Incoming Phronesis members are the ones who pause before speaking, who think three steps ahead while everyone else is reacting. This house sharpens that instinct. You'll learn to trust your judgment, develop your reasoning, and act with intention rather than impulse.
"I commit to wisdom in action. I will not rush judgment. I will think before I act, and when I move, I will move with precision and purpose that honors this house."
Core commitmentWhat the crest means
The Heron
Patient, precise, and accurate when it matters. The heron embodies Phronesis perfectly.
The Scales
Three scales across the shield represent balanced judgment, weighing all sides before deciding.
The Knight's Helm
Readiness through preparation. Phronesis earns the right to act through deep thinking first.
The Water & Reeds
Wisdom grows in quiet, still places. Phronesis values reflection as much as action.
House Leadership
Hold one hand flat and still at chest level, pause two full seconds, then extend it forward in a single precise motion. Patience first, then precision. Use it before a big decision or exam.

House Jamii
House of Community
Power: Loyal, Accountable, Celebratory
House History
Jamii comes from the Swahili word for family and community. The wolf is Jamii's symbol because wolves understand something most forget: the pack is stronger than any single runner. Members of Jamii look out for each other, hold each other accountable when it's hard, and celebrate together, because that's what community actually means.
Incoming Members
Incoming Jamii members may feel like they've always had to do things alone. This house changes that. You'll find people here who have your back, not because it's easy, but because that's the Jamii way. You'll learn what it means to be truly part of something bigger than yourself.
"I commit to my community. I will look out for my pack, hold myself and others accountable, and never let a teammate run alone. The pack moves together."
Core commitmentWhat the crest means
The Howling Wolf
The wolf atop the helm calls the pack together. In Jamii, leadership means calling others forward.
Two Wolves Rising
Two wolves facing each other represent mutual accountability and shared strength.
The Three Rings
Interconnected rings symbolize the bonds between community members, unbreakable when linked.
The Acorns & Oak
Slow, steady growth into something strong. Community is built over time, not overnight.
House Leadership
Tilt your head slightly back and raise your fist to the sky, the Pack Howl. This signal calls your house together. Use it before competitions, after wins, or whenever Jamii needs to rally as one.
